New England’s largest hunter jumper competition runs from July 6th through August 14th, 2011 at Harold Beebe Farm in East Dorset, Vermont. Lovely, peaceful views of the Green Mountains serve as the backdrop to six weeks of top equestrian competition in one of the most beautiful areas of New England. Referred to by regulars as ‘VSF’ for short, the show attracts the best athletes, including Olympic medalists and international course designers.
The organizers of the show are truly exceptional and go out of their way to make exhibitors feel comfortable. Ruth Lacey, Marketing Director, and her team pride themselves on listening to exhibitors; whether it’s on-site enhancements such as the new scenic lower hunter ring, offering new divisions or extended trails for casual enjoyment. Spectators are warmly welcomed so whether you’re a horse-show veteran or a first time visitor, this show is a great weekend option. Spend a ‘Grand Prix Sunday’ at the show and have an amazing time watching horse and human competitors square off against one another for the top prizes. Watch the horses and athletes, shop the onsite boutiques or plan to have lunch and a drink.
The Grand Finale of the Vermont Summer Festival, a $50,00 Grand Prix is Sunday August 14th 2011 at 1 pm.
Whether you’re a Vermont Summer Festival exhibitor or have a weekend to get-away from it all, the Vermont countryside will not disappoint. The fresh air and cool August breeze that moves slowly through the trees, the mountains that cast a warm glow on open fields and grazing horses and the classic architecture and appreciation for history, wildlife and simple pleasures makes Vermont unforgettable- and hard to leave.
